Business Studies student presented with an award

Well done to 5th Year student Daniel Leech, who was presented with an award in WIT last week for receiving an A grade in the Junior Certificate Higher Level Business Studies examination this year.  The region's top business minds were celebrated at the ceremony hosted by WIT and the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland.

The 2016 annual awards day for Enniscorthy Vocational College took place on Thursday last, May 26st at the Milehouse road campus. MC, Liam Sharkey presided over the presentation of over 150 awards across academic, sporting and ancillary disciplines. In the presence of parents, students and staff, the Principal, Mr. Seamus Murphy complimented staff, students and the student cohort, in particular the award winners for what was an exceptional year of achievement across the wide expanse of school life.  The awards saw the school pay tribute to achievement in the individual class context, attendance; sport encompassing, GAA, Rugby, Athletics, Badminton and Soccer.

Art Student received a Special Merit Award at Texaco Art Awards

The school year 2015-2016 saw great achievements in Art, Craft and Design. Our first competition was 'Artist of the year' run by the Talbot hotel in Wexford, here we saw a couple of our students accepted and involved in the exhibition. Ciera Sharpe took the 2nd place prize in the Junior certificate category.

Emma Ronan's Poem features in English Text Book

On Wednesday 4th April English teachers from all over Ireland gathered to learn more about a new English text book from Gill Education called Fire and Ice, a book for junior cycle students. It was particularly special for Enniscorthy Vocational College and fifth year student Emma Ronan. The book features a poem by Emma called Poem for a Best Friend. The poem will be studied for the Junior Cert' by  other students across the country.
