Principal's welcome

Principal's welcome

I extend a warm welcome to all who visit this website. As a parent, guardian or prospective student this site should give you some impression of the life in Enniscorthy Vocational College.

It is impossible to set out the whole range of activities that take place in the school but hopefully the sense of a happy, productive and caring community is tangible.

Enniscorthy Vocational College is a co-educational school under the authority of Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board. The school caters for Second Level students and Further Education students.

The school’s recent extension has ensured ‘state of the art’ facilities. These facilities coupled with a vibrant and dedicated staff will ensure the delivery of a top quality education and learning into the future.

Teachers are encouraged to adopt a flexible student-centered approach in the delivery of the curriculum. This ensures inclusiveness and the needs of all students are catered for. There is an excellent pastoral care system in the school to assist students during their time with us in the school.

The school has an exceptional range of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities; this represents a vast amount of voluntary effort on the part of the staff which is greatly appreciated. We aspire to develop our students as rounded individuals, fully prepared for the challenges and exciting opportunities that the future holds for them.

The relationship between parents/guardians and teachers is one of mutual support, concern and respect because just like each parent/guardian our teachers want the very best for our students. It is vital that all parents/guardians play an active role in their child’s education encouraging and challenging them to fulfil their potential.

Whatever your reason for visiting our website, I hope you find it a useful source of information and that you will be impressed with the educational environment that we have to offer.
